The five-day On Premises Installation Workshop is designed for IT professionals who deploy AppDynamics technologies in on-premises enterprise environments. Using a hands-on, scenario-based format, students install and upgrade the AppDynamics platform.

What You Will Learn

The workshop is the first step towards becoming an AppDynamics Certified Implementation Professional. It is used to train our own internal consultants, as well as partners and customers. It is designed for technical professionals who want to gain practical knowledge of how to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot the installation of AppDynamics on-premises components. Presented in a scenario-based format, students perform an installation from initial conceptualization through implementation, including troubleshooting, upgrade, and hand-over. This course is focused only on installation and upgrade, and does not cover configuration of the product.

Who is this course for?

Experienced technical professionals and have appropriate technical skills and experience. Ability to: Navigate Linux and Windows environments; change file or folder permissions in Linux; copy or move files in Linux and Windows; run executables in Linux; find files in Linux based on content search, find running processes in Linux; edit text files in Linux CLI environment and Windows; modify XML files using correct syntax; and use SSH and RDP clients. Understanding of: Java and other programming languages Runtime Environments, e.g. JRE, CLR; application Servers general structure and behavior; modern web browser behavior; load balancers; relational Databases and Data Synchronization techniques; TCP, and network routing and firewall behavior. Recommended: Completion of APM210 and APM220.
